Federal prosecutors are asking a judge to sentence a former IRS contractor to five years in prison for leaking the tax records of former President Donald Trump and other wealthy Americans to the media. Such a sentence is the maximum Charles Littlejohn could face after pleading guilty last year to a single count of unauthorized disclosure of tax information. In a 15-page court filing, federal prosecutors said Littlejohn applied to Booz Allen Hamilton in 2017 with the “intention of accessing and disclosing tax returns.”  After being hired, Mr. Littlejohn then “weaponized his access to unmasked taxpayer data to further his own personal, political agenda, believing that he was above the law,” prosecutors said. Mr. Littlejohn is scheduled to be sentenced on January. 29 before District Judge Ana C. Reyes of Washington.
